UNC Greensboro offers North Carolina's sole Master of Arts program in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. This interdisciplinary degree combines feminist theory with practical applications, equipping students for professional careers or advanced academic pursuits. Alumni often pursue roles in advocacy, healthcare, education, or similar fields within government and nonprofit organizations, while others continue to doctoral programs.
Continuing UNCG's legacy as the former Women's College of North Carolina, we pioneered one of the nation's first Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies programs.
Our graduates have established successful careers across diverse sectors including law, politics, social services, psychology, human resources, athletics, sociology, management, creative arts, business, education, healthcare, journalism, and more.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or appropriately evaluated credentials for non-U.S. schools.
English Language Proficiency: TOEFL: internet based - 79, or paper based - 550. A score of at least 6.5 is required on the IELTS.
