The Doctor of Philosophy in Information Systems program equips students for faculty positions in academic institutions or research roles in professional organizations.
This curriculum offers comprehensive training in both fundamental and cutting-edge information systems concepts, enabling students to develop the technical and analytical skills required for top-tier research.
Specialized instruction covers diverse IS fields including enterprise systems, international IT solutions, information governance, AI applications, business analytics, digital commerce platforms, organizational knowledge systems, and logistics management. Graduates gain versatile expertise applicable across academia, government agencies, and corporate settings.
Current doctoral candidates typically publish two articles in leading journals such as Journal of Computer Information Systems (JCIS), Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), Information and Management (I&M), and Journal of Information System Security (JISSec).
The PhD in Information Systems (IS) program is available to students with master’s degrees in appropriate areas such as business, computer science, public administration, engineering, or the social sciences. Students without masters’ degree in business will need to take additional courses to establish an understanding of business processes.
English Language Proficiency: TOEFL: internet based - 79, or paper based - 550. A score of at least 6.5 is required on the IELTS.
