This expansive cross-continental approach - encompassing the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa - allows students to investigate topics like the interplay of political, economic, and cultural systems, issues of race and ethnicity, gender studies, and the international aspects of national histories.
Through intimate class settings, personalized research initiatives, and faculty guidance, students develop expertise in academic research methods and scholarly writing.
Every participant will complete a teaching practicum and gain direct instructional experience, equipping them for academic careers in higher education.
To enroll in the PhD program, students must first obtain a MA in history as well as a BA degree in history or a closely-related field.
