The Geography PhD program empowers students to expand their understanding of geographic theories and research techniques across multiple dimensions. Doctoral candidates select a specialization from three key concentrations: Urban Development and Infrastructure Planning, Earth Systems and Sustainable Resource Management, or Geospatial Data Science.
The program concludes with either a conventional dissertation or a series of three research articles suitable for academic publication.
This discipline encompasses faculty expertise in climate studies, tree-ring analysis, water systems, landform evolution, soil science, and environmental evaluation. Practical field experiences serve as essential complements to classroom learning.
