Anthropology explores humanity through scientific and humanistic lenses, examining our species from biological, historical, and cultural angles. This comprehensive, cross-cultural discipline seeks to understand the essence of human existence. The Master of Arts in Anthropology caters to three student groups: (a) The General Anthropology path suits those aiming for doctoral studies or community college teaching positions, (b) The Applied Anthropology option prepares students for careers in our globalized society, with potential roles in education, healthcare, international development, business, government, or non-profits, and (c) The Medical Anthropology specialization focuses on practical applications in healthcare, including a dual-degree option with Public Health (yielding both MA and MPH degrees after three years).
