The Master of Architecture Advanced Standing (MArch AS) program is a NAAB-accredited professional degree tailored for individuals holding a four-year BA in Architecture from UNC-Charlotte. Applicants who satisfy Graduate School requirements and qualify for streamlined admission to the Master of Architecture program may be granted Advanced Standing status.
Those enrolled in the MArch AS track follow an intensive 12-month (summer, fall, spring) professional curriculum culminating in an accredited architecture degree. This 40-credit program offers opportunities for international summer study or campus-based design exploration, followed by fall and spring semesters featuring a capstone architectural design project, a research-focused graduate thesis studio, plus coursework in architectural research, professional practice, and supplementary electives.
