The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Art offers specialized study within a chosen concentration. Departmental pre-approval is necessary for the Cross-Disciplinary focus. With 79 credit hours needed in Art and Art History courses, and many concentration classes following a sequence, students should enroll in three studio art classes and one art history course during their first semester. Delaying major coursework to complete General Education requirements first may extend graduation timelines. Concentration-specific four-year plans can be found online or at the department office.

We recommend completion of 4 courses of English language and literature, 4 courses of Mathematics, 3 courses of Science, 2 courses of History/Social Science, and 2 courses of the same Foreign Language (which may be English).
