The Theatre Department offers a student-centered liberal arts curriculum that prepares theatre practitioners, academics, and educators to explore contemporary best practices and innovative approaches in professional theatre. In keeping with the university's dedication to accessible education, we incorporate principles of equity and inclusion to foster dynamic intellectual exploration, ethical community involvement, and groundbreaking creative research. Guided by faculty who are nationally acclaimed theatre professionals and scholars, the program cultivates creativity, curiosity, analytical skills, communication abilities (both verbal and written), and cultural awareness through classroom instruction, independent and group projects, and realized theatrical productions.
