The Earth and Environment research team examines the natural environment as a interconnected whole, highlighting relationships and interactions between land, water, and atmospheric systems. Our work explores how Earth's surface features - including soils, plant life, and water networks - interact with atmospheric conditions and the processes that drive energy and matter circulation. We view human communities, through both individual actions and organizational systems, as fundamental elements within Earth's environmental framework. Our educational programs and scientific investigations concentrate on plant-climate relationships, water distribution patterns across ecosystems, biogeochemical cycles, human impacts on landscape transformation (such as changes in land utilization and vegetation cover), and climate fluctuations and long-term shifts.
