The Department of Dramatic Art aims to teach students how to analyze thoughtfully and articulate clearly about theater's creative processes, literary works, and historical development. Through the Department of Dramatic Art (DDA), majors gain comprehensive insight into theater's artistic and cultural significance. Classroom instruction covers theatrical history while honing performance and production abilities. Additionally, students can engage in extracurricular theater performances. They take part in all phases of departmental productions, ranging from performing and directing to designing sets, building scenery, and managing stage operations.
All students will be expected to have completed the pre-university curriculum (Secondary School/High School) in their country prior to enrolling at UNC-Chapel Hill. English Language Tests: TOEFL minimum is 100; IELTS minimum is 7.0; PTE minimum is 68.
