The Master of Science (MS) in Engineering provides diverse career avenues for professionals with broad engineering experience. Students can choose from four specialization areas—Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, or Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering—enabling deeper expertise and credentials for leadership positions. The research-focused program also prepares graduates to pursue doctoral studies or shift toward academic or analytical career paths.
MS in Engineering candidates must select either a thesis or non-thesis option along with one specialization. Thesis-track students dedicate six (6) credit hours to original research, while non-thesis students complete a three (3) credit master's project. Students must have earned a bachelor's degree in a field of engineering from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad.
Applicants enrolled in the final year of a bachelor's degree or international equivalent will be considered for conditional admission.

2.75 overall grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework.
