The Master of Science (MS) in Engineering provides diverse career avenues for professionals with broad engineering experience. Students can choose from four specialization areas—Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, or Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering—enabling deeper expertise and credentials for leadership positions. The research-focused program also prepares graduates to pursue doctoral studies or shift toward academic or analytical career paths.
MS in Engineering candidates must select either a thesis or non-thesis option along with one specialization. Thesis-track students dedicate six (6) credit hours to original research, while non-thesis students complete a three (3) credit master's project. Consult the Thesis and Dissertation Guidelines for full requirements.
