The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Master of Engineering (6-P) program is a streamlined five-year curriculum that culminates in both a Master of Engineering degree and one of three available bachelor's degrees from the department. Designed to cultivate specialized expertise and professional competencies, the 6-P program prepares students for advanced academic pursuits and technical careers while fostering the broad perspective necessary for leadership in our complex technological landscape. Participants complete 42 units from Graduate Office-approved courses, which - when combined with two advanced undergraduate courses from their bachelor's program - must comprise at least 36 units in their chosen specialization area. Additionally, students select 24 elective units from a curated departmental selection of mathematics, science, and engineering courses.
