The Master of Science (M.S.) in Geography program provides both Plan I and Plan II options, as outlined in the Graduate Program section of this Catalog. Students intending to pursue a Ph.D. after earning their M.S. degree are advised to choose Plan I. Plan II is better suited for those seeking career advancement through their master's degree. With approval from the Geography and Environmental Studies Department's Graduate Program Director, students may select a minor under either program option.
