Our curriculum equips each student with a modern, well-rounded percussion education. Emphasizing hands-on learning and performance across diverse styles—including contemporary solo/chamber music, orchestral percussion, jazz, pop, marimba ensembles (both modern and traditional Mexican), and world percussion traditions (African, Middle Eastern, frame drumming, steel pan, Brazilian samba, and Afro-Cuban)—students cultivate essential skills for thriving in music performance and instruction careers.

Beyond solo and chamber work, you'll perform in premier large ensembles, marching band, jazz groups, combos, and contemporary chamber music collectives.
