The Master's in Family and Child Studies offers three specialization tracks: Family Life Education, Human Development and Family Relations, and Early Childhood Studies. Explore each concentration's curriculum and course requirements. Graduates focusing on Family Life Education qualify to seek the Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) credential through the National Council on Family Relations. The program allows customization to align with individual academic interests. Admission decisions consider multiple criteria such as academic performance, relevant coursework (particularly in social/behavioral sciences), professional experience, recommendation letters, personal essays, and multicultural exposure. Applicants from disciplines outside family and child studies are warmly welcomed. This 33-credit Master's program typically takes four semesters to complete with full-time enrollment (approximately three courses per term).
