Focusing on Anthropology, students in Latin American Studies can effectively investigate how colonial changes impacted social structures, cultural traditions, and native languages across Latin America. This concentration enables them to examine current cultural and linguistic politics throughout the region, particularly though not limited to various indigenous communities and social groups. Additionally, the Anthropology track supports LAS students in analyzing both material and ideological cultural expressions, value systems, and the evolving utilization of resources throughout Latin America.
