This concentration allows students to pursue research projects under the guidance of faculty from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNM's College of Pharmacy, including METALS Superfund Research Program affiliates. The department focuses on expanding knowledge in pharmacology, toxicology, and pharmaceutical sciences while providing thorough student education. The adaptable program structure supports research across pharmaceutical science disciplines, with emphasis on two primary fields: 1) Pharmaceutics and 2) Pharmacology/Toxicology. The curriculum combines mandatory and elective coursework with career development opportunities, maintaining enough flexibility for students to specialize in their chosen areas.
