If you've completed a Bachelor of Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program in the past five years with a minimum 3.2 GPA, you qualify for UNH's advanced standing M.S.W. program. Social work professionals create meaningful change in individuals' lives, communities, and broader society. The M.S.W. degree equips you for careers in diverse fields including healthcare, education, addiction services, child protection, workplace programs, policy development, and various social service sectors. This degree also serves as the foundation for pursuing licensure as a clinical social worker (LCSW).
UNH offers a CSWE-accredited M.S.W. through a prestigious research institution. You'll be taught by dedicated full-time faculty who are both scholars and practitioners committed to social justice. The advanced standing track enables degree completion in just 12 months on-campus or 16 months online - significantly faster than traditional programs. Through local field placements, you'll acquire practical experience while contributing to your community.
International applicants must hold a four-year baccalaureate degree or its equivalent as a precondition for applying to any of our graduate programs. In some cases, you may also need a master’s degree or its equivalent.

Minimum score requirements are as follows: TOEFL (Computer-based): 213; TOEFL (Internet-based): 80; IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.5; TOEFL ITP (Institution Administered): On case-by-case basis; TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication): On case-by-case basis; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 59.
