Professional social workers positively impact individuals, communities, and society at large. The Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree equips graduates for careers in diverse sectors including healthcare, education, addiction services, child protection, workplace assistance programs, policy development, and various social service fields. This degree also serves as the foundational requirement for pursuing licensure as a clinical social worker (LCSW).
At the University of New Hampshire, our M.S.W. program delivers an exceptional learning experience that readies students for Advanced Generalist practice, aligning with the core mission of social work. The curriculum emphasizes strength-based and empowerment approaches, fostering growth for individuals, families, communities, and organizations to achieve their maximum capabilities.
International applicants must hold a four-year baccalaureate degree or its equivalent as a precondition for applying to any of our graduate programs. In some cases, you may also need a master’s degree or its equivalent.
