This program enables specialization in ocean mapping, equipping you to address both public and private sector needs for competent, analytical experts with excellent scientific communication abilities. Over 85% of the ocean floor remains uncharted. Today's ocean mappers are pioneers, not only skilled in seabed mapping techniques but also proficient in areas like seabed geological analysis, marine resource and habitat mapping, and advancing the instruments, sensors, and methodologies for ocean exploration.

Qualification Requirements

An applicant to the M.S. program is expected to have completed one year of calculus and at least four semesters of college chemistry, physics, and/or biology, and to have an undergraduate degree or equivalent in geology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, or the biological sciences.Transcripts are required for any school you earned a degree from, attended for at least one year, or attended for 2 or more semesters. Exceptions to this rule may be approved at the discretion of the program you are applying to and the UNH Graduate School Admission's office. TOEFL iBT (Internet-based): 80, TOEFL (Computer-based): 213, IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.5, Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 59.
