This graduate program offers advanced training for educators pursuing specialization in special education, including initial licensure in general special education. Our students include current teachers, administrators, and early childhood professionals looking to enhance their expertise and expand career prospects. The program provides extensive clinical experiences tailored to individual goals, whether seeking initial certification, additional endorsements, leadership roles, or specialized skills.
The undergraduate record. The undergraduate overall minimum grade point average for admission is 3.0. The undergraduate grade point average of students admitted to the graduate programs in teacher education is approximately 3.55 (based on 2020 admissions).
English Language Score:
Minimum score requirements are as follows: TOEFL (Computer-based): 213; TOEFL (Internet-based): 80; IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.5; TOEFL ITP (Institution Administered): On case-by-case basis; TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication): On case-by-case basis; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 59.
Applications must be completed by the following deadlines in order to be reviewed for admission: Fall: April 15; Spring: November 1; Summer: April 15.
