Admission to graduate licensure program courses involving Special Education field experiences is restricted to candidates accepted into the Special Education graduate program. For other graduate-level Special Education courses, non-program students may enroll if they meet prerequisites and space remains after Special Education graduate students have registered. To graduate, students must fulfill all academic and field competency requirements, which include earning a B or better in every program course, receiving positive evaluations in licensure-track field experiences, and passing the MA Comprehensive Exam. The Special Education Master of Arts program offers five distinct tracks to accommodate diverse student needs and can be finished within two years for those studying full-time.
