Over 85% of the seafloor remains uncharted territory. Today's ocean cartographers are pioneering adventurers, excelling not just in seabed mapping techniques but also in specialized areas like seafloor geology analysis and marine ecosystem mapping. This graduate certificate program in ocean mapping offers specialized postgraduate education for professionals with diverse academic backgrounds, including earth sciences, geology, biology, and engineering. The curriculum includes fundamental coursework and practical training, meeting the rigorous Category A competency standards set by FIG/IHO/ICA for hydrographic surveyors.
International applicants must hold a four-year baccalaureate degree or its equivalent as a precondition for applying to any of our graduate programs. In some cases, you may also need a master’s degree or its equivalent.

Minimum score requirements are as follows: TOEFL (Computer-based): 213; TOEFL (Internet-based): 80; IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.5; TOEFL ITP (Institution Administered): On case-by-case basis; TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication): On case-by-case basis; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 59.
