This program caters to scholars whose work crosses habitats and biological scales (including physiology, neurobiology, behavior, cellular biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and systematics) in both land and water ecosystems. It also serves students who wish to merge practical biological research with investigations into biology education at the college level. Central to the program is its emphasis on synthesizing diverse biological concepts and equipping graduates with versatile skills for careers in animal and plant biology.
