This program is designed for students aiming to specialize in problem-solving, with a strong focus on creating computationally efficient solutions. Grounded in core principles, participants acquire the expertise needed to confidently navigate this dynamic discipline. Building on a robust background in science and math, students cultivate advanced problem-solving abilities and conceptual thinking, often gaining practical experience by working in labs to develop software systems. Program alumni either pursue higher education or embark on diverse professional careers.
Current participants in the University Honors Program must additionally fulfill Honors-In-Major requirements. By meeting all specified criteria (including sustaining a 3.5 GPA both overall and within their major), these students will earn the University Honors distinction on their academic records and graduation documents.
