The Biology Department provides two distinct Master's Degree pathways. Plan A (thesis track) focuses on original research culminating in a thesis, designed for those aiming for advanced degrees or research-oriented careers. Plan B (non-thesis track) serves as a final degree for students targeting positions in government, industry, education, or related fields.
Students pursuing a Biology Master's will:
perform thorough research that advances scientific knowledge, develop well-structured written reports of their findings, finish the program within an appropriate timeframe, participate in and deliver talks at academic conferences,
write and submit articles for publication, draft and submit funding applications, guide undergraduate students.
