The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program, provided by the AACSB-accredited Accounting Department within the College of Business, cultivates advanced technical and professional accounting competencies that extend well beyond undergraduate-level coursework. Graduates emerge with a comprehensive business education. Alongside specialized accounting classes, the curriculum incorporates foundational courses across core business disciplines. The MAcc focuses on building essential professional capabilities such as collaborative teamwork, leadership development, and refined communication abilities.
This degree serves as a final academic credential for professionals targeting careers in either private industry or government, particularly those seeking CPA certification. Participants gain cutting-edge technical accounting expertise and hands-on experience with modern methodologies, equipping them for roles in auditing, financial analysis, and tax preparation. MAcc graduates commonly launch their careers in public accounting firms, corporate finance departments, government agencies, or various financial specialist positions.
To be considered for Fall semester, all materials must be received by February 1 for early admission or April 15 for late admission.
To be considered for Spring semester, application materials must be received by October 1 for early admission or November 15 for late admission.
