This program targets, though isn't exclusive to, social studies educators looking to deepen their expertise in particular historical subjects. The 12-unit curriculum serves, among others, classroom teachers pursuing specialized knowledge in history content areas. Participants will enhance their professional development by broadening their subject matter expertise and refining research and writing abilities, focusing on study areas aligned with their career objectives. The program aims to strengthen educators' capacity to teach interdisciplinary content in accordance with district standards.
Participants will advance their professional growth by deepening their understanding of specialized content areas and honing research and writing techniques in fields relevant to their career aspirations.
A Bachelor's degree in a humanities or social science; a bachelor's degree in Education; or Teaching Credential.
