This specialization centers on developing advanced leadership skills tailored for K-12 or higher education environments. The Ph.D. program equips graduates for collegiate teaching positions, leadership roles, or careers in policy research and analysis. Specifically crafted for aspiring researchers, university faculty members, and senior education analysts, the curriculum follows the framework outlined in the course catalog, blending methodological training with theoretical and practical leadership studies.
The Educational Leadership Ph.D. track is designed for professionals holding at least a master's degree in education who aspire to leadership positions. We aim to cultivate expertise through a customized, rigorous academic program aligned with each student's career objectives.
Students benefit from extensive research and practical experiences, collaborating with advisors to create individualized study plans. Our graduates have secured positions such as:
School leadership roles (principal, assistant principal, campus administrator)

Admission Deadlines
The College of Education has application deadlines for Spring (November 15). Students wishing to apply for a graduate assistantship for Fall semester must apply for the Ph.D. program and the college graduate assistantship by February 1. Applications for Fall will continue to be reviewed up to July 15.
