The Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration serves as the overarching program in the College of Business, designed to cultivate and educate future social scientists specializing in Management, Marketing, Finance, Information Systems, and Accounting. This doctoral program's essential focus lies in developing scholars capable of formulating and examining theories that broaden our understanding while offering real-world applications for societal benefit.
The Finance concentration within the Business Ph.D. equips emerging financial economists with fundamental expertise in asset valuation, corporate finance, insurance, and property markets. Through rigorous instruction in research methodologies and statistical analysis, students gain the tools to develop and validate financial theories. While primarily designed for aspiring academics, this program also provides valuable preparation for corporate careers.
Graduates will:
