The program offers concentrations in animal science specialties such as: nutrition, physiology, genetics, health, reproduction, animal welfare, livestock systems, and meat processing safety. Rangeland ecology studies encompass: riparian systems, ecosystem dynamics, water resources, ecological restoration, landscape patterns, soil-plant interactions, wildlife-livestock relationships, grazing systems, habitat conservation, land use planning, environmental monitoring, invasive species control, and geospatial technologies. This program addresses critical workforce demands across agricultural sectors, preparing graduates for roles in corporate and governmental research, leadership positions, advisory services, and higher education institutions including land-grant universities.
