The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science equips students with a comprehensive foundation in agricultural studies. Learners can select specialized tracks focusing on Animal Science, Plant Science, General Agricultural Science, or Agricultural Education. The Animal and Plant Science concentrations aim to ready students for advanced technology careers in both private industries and government agencies. The General Agriculture track offers a wide-ranging curriculum blending livestock and crop production with agribusiness principles. Graduates emerge well-prepared to pursue competitive, rewarding positions nationwide or continue their education through graduate programs in agricultural and biological sciences.
To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school. You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno.
Verification of having met the English requirement through one of the following options: TOEFL score 61+; IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+; Duolingo English Exam score 95+; Cambridge score of B2+.
