The Interdisciplinary Studies program requires thoughtful planning and is designed for students whose educational or professional goals don't align with current University of Nevada, Reno majors. Students exploring this degree option should consult with an academic advisor at the Exploratory and Pre-Professional Advising Center to determine if it matches their academic and career objectives. Declaration of the Interdisciplinary Studies degree is only permitted after this advisory meeting.
To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school. You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno.
Verification of having met the English requirement through one of the following options: TOEFL score 61+; IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+; Duolingo English Exam score 95+; Cambridge score of B2+.
