Communication Studies explores both practical skill development for effective communication and the examination of how people construct shared understandings of their environment. Our curriculum emphasizes two interconnected communication domains: Relational Dynamics (RD) and Public Advocacy and Civic Engagement (PACE). Relational Dynamics examines relationship formation and maintenance across personal, professional, and cultural contexts. Public Advocacy and Civic Engagement explores persuasive techniques in public discourse, including speech, debate, and digital communication. The program covers advocacy strategies in corporate, political, and social justice spheres.
