Technical Proficiency - Thesis Committees evaluate students' technical mastery through their performance in designated coursework and laboratory research.
Communication Abilities - Assessed by Thesis Committees and evaluators based on seminar presentations, research proposals, written and oral reports, published papers, and final thesis work.
Analytical Reasoning - Evaluated through student performance in seminars, research proposals, reports, literature reviews, publications, and thesis defense by Thesis Committees.
Specialized Knowledge - Demonstrated through thesis defense (both written and oral components) and evaluated by Thesis Committees.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to the program requires an undergraduate degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, biochemistry or a related discipline, with a cumulative GPA of 2.75, or of 3.00 for the last two years of undergraduate work.
An application must be submitted to the Graduate College.
Official transcripts of all college-level work

Transcripts - One transcript from every post-secondary institution the applicant has attended (regardless of whether a degree or credential was earned), showing all coursework, extension and correspondence work, any degrees earned, and the dates that those degrees were awarded. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted as part of the application process. However, if an applicant is admitted, official transcripts will be required by the date specified on the Certificate of Admission. Transfer credits posted on another institution's transcript will not be accepted in lieu of the transcript itself. Only transcripts sent directly from the institution are considered official. Failure to disclose all coursework and/or degrees awarded will result in rescission of admission.
