Program Objectives
Graduates of the UNLV School of Music's Doctor of Musical Arts program will:
Achieve professional mastery in performance or conducting within their chosen specialization.
Apply historical and theoretical knowledge to develop unique interpretations across diverse musical styles.
Exhibit in-depth understanding of their instrument's or conducting medium's history, along with comprehensive expertise in their specialization's repertoire.
Show proficiency in musical research methods, including utilizing bibliographic resources and effectively presenting scholarly findings.
