Program Objectives
Achieve proficiency in a primary performance discipline, demonstrating technical mastery and artistic expression suitable for the chosen specialization.
Develop extensive familiarity with solo repertoire for their principal instrument or voice, including the ability to interpret diverse musical styles within that repertoire.
Excel in both solo and ensemble performances (including small and large groups) with the technical proficiency and musicality required for professional artistic expression.
Attain sight-reading fluency for solo and ensemble literature that meets professional standards in the chosen specialization.
Acquire comprehensive understanding of Western art music's historical development, including styles, composers, genres, forms, and creative processes, while recognizing contributions from diverse cultures and genders throughout history.
