The School of Music provides talented students the chance to pursue advanced musical studies, whether for professional aspirations or personal enrichment, while obtaining a well-rounded education. Comprehensive course sequences equip students for careers as music educators in K-12 schools, composers, professionals in music technology, private instructors, performing artists, or those seeking extensive musical training within a liberal arts framework. All campus performances, lectures, and large events are currently suspended or delayed indefinitely, including activities across academic departments, Montana Repertory Theatre productions, and exhibitions at the Montana Museum of Art and Culture and Montana Media Lab. Events adaptable to virtual formats may proceed remotely, while postponement options will be explored, though the timeline for resuming in-person gatherings remains undetermined.
