The Art Department provides students with visual arts training as a fundamental component of a well-rounded education. Our degree programs deliver rigorous, career-focused instruction in visual arts principles and practices. Students will also develop both technical abilities and conceptual understanding, forming the foundation for lifelong artistic growth and professional success in the visual arts field.
UNLV's BFA program requires an extra year of specialized study, allowing students to concentrate deeply on refining their artistic techniques and creative vision. Entry into the BFA program is determined through portfolio evaluation.
