The Asian and Asian American Studies program explores the vibrant social, cultural, political, linguistic, literary, artistic, and historical dimensions of Asian and Asian American communities. With its global perspective and research-driven approach, the program educates students about various facets of Asian, Pacific Islander, and Asian American populations, particularly focusing on the historical backgrounds and modern lifestyles of Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Thai, Vietnamese, Native Hawaiian, and other Asian and Pacific Islander groups. This program equips graduates for professional paths in government, education, as well as fields like international commerce, legal practice, advisory services, hospitality, and communications.
