The Master of Arts in Gerontology is an academic program tailored to support the learning objectives of professionals and research-oriented individuals. Those enrolled in the MA gerontology program aim to develop a comprehensive grasp of aging through either a thesis or non-thesis pathway.
Two Program Tracks
Both pathways are available online or in-person.
Thesis track: intended for learners wanting deeper engagement with gerontological research, critical analysis of studies, and potential preparation for independent research endeavors.
Non-thesis track: geared toward professionals currently serving older populations or those planning to work with seniors. This practical-focused route equips students with knowledge about typical and atypical aging processes while developing skills to create, execute, and assess programs for older adults and their relatives.
