The Department of Foreign Languages & Literature provides a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) program in Foreign Languages and Literature, featuring specializations in French, German, or Spanish. Each language track requires completion of 30 upper-division (3000-4000 level) credit hours.
Students can take beginner to advanced classes in French, German, and Spanish, along with intermediate Japanese courses. The Spanish minor can be completed on campus, fully online, or through a hybrid approach. Introductory Chinese language courses are also available. Furthermore, the department collaborates with interdisciplinary programs including International Studies, Latino and Latin American Studies, Women's and Gender Studies, and Medical Humanities, while offering summer study abroad opportunities in France, Germany, Canada, Mexico, and Spain.
