The actuarial science program offers pathways for students pursuing careers in life insurance, pensions, and property/casualty insurance sectors. Graduates from this program have become actuaries across the United States, Canada, and numerous other nations. Designed for individuals with exceptional mathematical abilities and foundational knowledge in calculus and statistics, the program also welcomes students from diverse academic backgrounds, including non-mathematical fields. Completion requires 36 credit hours (thesis not mandatory), with at least nine credits in a complementary discipline like computer science, finance, statistics, or economics. We strongly recommend taking additional courses in finance and insurance, along with participation in the Actuarial Science Club. This student organization deepens professional awareness, aids in exam preparation, and builds camaraderie among peers working toward actuarial careers.
