The Joint J.D.-M.A. in History equips students with the combined expertise of legal and historical studies, enhancing their qualifications for diverse professional opportunities. This dual-degree program opens doors to careers in both public and private organizations, as well as academic teaching and research positions. When accepted into the History M.A. program, students receive a faculty advisor from the History department. While advisor changes are permitted, they must occur within the initial year. Before finishing 18 credit hours, students are required to consult with their advisors and submit a Course Approval Form. Those entering the MA program with language or course deficiencies must address them within three years of starting the joint degree.
