Students pursuing the Nutrition and Exercise specialization or engaged in the Exercise Physiology and Nutrition study track (Faculty expertise) will develop fundamental skills in nutrition, physical activity, research methodology, and statistical analysis. Instruction occurs through advanced research in faculty laboratories and/or customized course plans tailored to individual student objectives. The Nutrition and Health Sciences Department provides graduate programs in both Research Focus Areas and Career Concentrations, guided by faculty expertise. Admission to our graduate program requires approval from at least one faculty member listed under the Areas of Study. Applicants should identify one to three potential faculty collaborators. Prospective students are highly advised to initiate contact with faculty members before or during the application period. Faculty websites offer additional details. Establishing a productive mentor-mentee dynamic is crucial for both graduate candidates and faculty advisors.
