A solid foundation in mathematics is becoming increasingly vital for numerous career paths. The Mathematics Department advises students to choose a well-structured set of courses in both mathematics and related fields that align with their educational and professional aspirations. The department provides both a bachelor of arts degree and a bachelor of science degree with four specialized tracks. Students pursuing the bachelor of science should identify a track that suits their academic and career objectives by filling out a Program Declaration form with guidance from the department's faculty advisor. This process is best completed before finishing more than two mathematics courses beyond the calculus requirements. Students may adjust their Program Declaration to switch tracks or alter their study plan as needed, with approval from the faculty advisor.
