The Charles W. Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction offers a Construction Engineering (CONE) program. This major combines engineering, construction, and management studies to prepare students for professional engineering licensure in the construction field. While similar to construction management programs, CONE places stronger emphasis on engineering fundamentals and technical coursework necessary for professional engineering certification. Students learn to apply engineering concepts to practical construction challenges through courses covering civil engineering, structural analysis, materials testing, project oversight, CAD systems, 3D modeling, sustainable practices, and visual communication techniques.
