The plant biology program offers undergraduate students a versatile pathway into the study of plant sciences. Upon joining, students complete foundational courses that maintain flexibility for either continuing in plant biology or transitioning to related Life Sciences disciplines. Participants can engage with faculty from the Center for Plant Science Innovation and collaborate across various departments for academic guidance and research projects. The curriculum enables students to investigate plants through multiple lenses - from microscopic molecular structures to broad ecological systems, incorporating evolutionary, agricultural, and horticultural viewpoints. This comprehensive approach combines mandatory coursework in diverse scientific areas (including biology, biochemistry, chemistry, agronomy, and horticulture) with specialized tracks (ecology/management and biotechnology concentrations).
