The Biochemistry & Biophysics Program is among six graduate offerings under the Molecular and Biomedical Umbrella. Our program fosters an interactive setting where students conduct pioneering research alongside faculty mentors. Both Master's and Doctoral degrees in Biochemistry & Biophysics are available. Degree candidates will master physical biochemistry techniques and structural biology approaches to tackle compelling scientific questions through collaborative projects with program faculty. The Center for Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics, along with affiliated research initiatives, creates a vibrant academic environment for Biochemistry & Biophysics graduate studies at the University of Montana.

A competitive application will have a GPA of 3.1 or better (on a 4.0 scale). If your undergraduate GPA is below 3.1, additional graduate level courses can be taken as evidence of academic ability.
