This graduate program offers a 42-credit degree fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), equipping students to earn the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification.
The program trains students for diverse roles across public and private sectors, including positions in community organizations, healthcare facilities, and government health agencies. Graduates develop skills in needs assessment, program design, implementation, management, and evaluation, while becoming knowledgeable advocates for health promotion initiatives.
Alongside nine Community Health and Prevention Sciences courses (27 credits), students complete five core online MPH courses (15 credits) covering biostatistics, epidemiology, health services, environmental health, and ethics. This unique curriculum blends specialized training with foundational public health knowledge, creating skilled professionals focused on community and behavioral health sciences.
